Turn it off poster

Hate kills poster
About the projects
COLLAGE poster: The objective was to create a poster for a fictitious theatre production, and explore collage as a genre.
ANTI-HATE posters: The task was to develop and produce two poster concepts that would address the them anti-hate.
All poster are RMIT projects.
How
COLLAGE poster: With this poster, I researched the characteristics of collage and used images from unsplash.com that related to the story of Hamlet. I applied different non-destructive techniques in Photoshop to create a poster that reflected collage and would suit a modern version of Hamlet.
ANTI-HATE posters: Why is anti-hate important? If we look at news headlines, past or present events - hate excludes, discriminates. It is dangerous and has the potential to kill. In this context, I came up with two poster ideas.
1) Turn it off encourages people to stop hating. Just like we turn off the tv. The design is kept simple and I used a tv screen and a remote control to convey a message that people are already familiar: tv is bad for you. The same can be said about hate.
2) Hate is a killer has a darker message. We often hear about violence and crimes - even war that are driven by hate and prejudices. The outcome is often destructive. I wanted to show this with this poster.
Both posters are created in Illustrator.
